One of the early warning signs of alcoholism (AUD) is a strong desire to drink and an inability to stop thinking about it.

2) Alcohol Cravings

Drinking despite the personal hazards connected with alcohol consumption, such as the interaction with medication, is also commonplace.

A person's hazy recollections of events that occurred when they were drunk are known as alcohol-induced blackouts. 

3) Blackouts

These blackouts can be "fragmentary" or can cause the person to forget everything.

Symptoms of withdrawal, such as nausea and excessive sweating, may point to extreme alcoholism.
